NetBackup status code: 8800

Message: Communication with EMM failed.

Explanation: NetBackup attempted a request that requires communication with nbemm and the communication with nbemm failed.

Recommended Action: Do the following, as appropriate:

  • Ensure that the nbemm service is running.

  • Restart nbemm or the NetBackup Web Management Console (nbwmc) and retry the request.

  • Examine the unified logging files on the NetBackup master server for the nbemmm (OID 111) service and the NetBackup web services. Unified logging is written to /usr/openv/logs (UNIX) or to install_path\NetBackup\logs (Windows).
