NetBackup™ Status Codes Reference Guide

NetBackup status code: 8765

Message: The host does not have any security certificate configured with respect to this master server.

Explanation: The host does not have either of the following:

  • A NetBackup CA-signed certificate that is generated and deployed from the master server.

  • An external CA-signed certificate that is enrolled with the master server.

Recommended Action: Carry out the following steps:

  1. Generate and deploy a NetBackup certificate (or a host ID-based certificate).

    • Run the following command: nbcertcmd - getCertificate

  2. Enroll an external certificate.

    • Run the following command: nbcertcmd - enrollCertificate
