NetBackup™ Status Codes Reference Guide

NetBackup status code: 6833

Message: One or more credential configuration checks failed.

Explanation: An attempt to configure or update the credentials did not succeed because one or more checks did not meet the required criteria. Warnings are not considered fatal and the configuration continues to proceed ahead.

Recommended Action: Ensure that the following pre-checks succeed for the credential configuration or the update operation to succeed.

These checks are performed while the credential configuration operation is attempted:

  • The certificate path is valid.

  • The trust store path is valid.

  • The private key path is valid.

  • The certificates in certificate chain are readable.

  • The certificates in trust store are readable.

  • The private key is readable.

  • The Common Name field is not empty.

  • The certificate is not expired.

  • The certificate is currently valid.

  • The private key matches the certificate.

  • The CRL directory consists of CRL files - This check is optional. It is performed if the ECA_CRL_PATH is configured with the path for the CRL directory.

  • The CRL check level is valid - This check is optional. It is performed if the ECA_CRL_PATH is configured with the path for the CRL directory and the CRL check level is anything but Disable.

  • The CRL path is valid - This check is optional. It is performed if the ECA_CRL_PATH is configured with the path for the CRL directory and the CRL check level is anything but Disable.
