Import backup images, Phase II
To import the backups, first run the Initiate Import operation (Import Phase I). The first phase reads the catalog to determine all of the media that contain the catalog backup images. After Phase I, start the Import operation (Phase II). If Phase II is run before Phase I, the import fails with a message. For example, Unexpected EOF or Import of backup ID failed, fragments are not consecutive.
To import backup images, Phase II
- On the left, click Catalog.
- On the Actions menu, select Phase II import.
- Set up the search criteria to find images available to import. Be sure to select a date range that includes the images you want to import. Click Search.
- Select the images that you want to import. Click Import to import the selected images.
- Select whether you'd like to log the names of all of the files that are found in the imported images. Click OK.
- Click the Activity tab to view the progress of Import phase II.
