NetBackup™ Status Codes Reference Guide

NetBackup status code: 6623

Message: Failed to connect to the application server or the backup host. The server is either shut down or not reachable.

Explanation: This error can occur because of the following reasons:

  • The application server is either shut down or it is not reachable.

  • The application server was unable to establish a connection with the backup host.

Recommended Action: Verify and resolve any network connectivity issues. Ensure that the application server and the backup host are up and running.
