NetBackup™ Status Codes Reference Guide

NetBackup status code: 4728

Message: Failed to open the specified disk.

Explanation: Failed to initiate the disk transfer during the upload or the download.

Recommended Action: If it is the backup operation, check if the VM disks are unlocked before the backup starts. Follow the RHV, VMware, or Nutanix AHV documentation to unlock the disk or VMs if required and retry the backup. If it is the restore operation, refer to the vxms logs for more information and if the issue persists, visit the Cohesity Technical Support website.
