This error can occur due to NetBackup Key Management Service (KMS) is not running or the NetBackup Key Management Service (KMS) is not configured.
Verify if the NetBackup Key Management Service (KMS) is running and configured by running the following:
Run the nbkmscmd -listKMSConfig -name <kms_configuration_name> command to verify if the
nbkmsservice is configured.If the
nbkmsservice is not configured then run the nbkmscmd -configureKMS to configure the NetBackup KMS service.Run the nbkmscmd -discoverNBkms command if the nbkmscmd -configureKMS command recommends running this command.
Verify that the
nbkmsservice is configured by running the nbkmscmd -listKMSConfig -name <kms_configuration_name> command.Verify that the
nbkmsservice is up and in a running state by executing the nbkmscmd -validateKMSConfig -name <kms_ configuration_name> command.
