NetBackup™ Status Codes Reference Guide

NetBackup status code: 8433

Message: Error in updating the bp.conf of the primary server in the namespace <namespace> for the MediaServer <MediaServer -name>.

Explanation: Cannot add a media host entry in the bp.conf of the primary server.

Recommended Action: Perform the following as appropriate:

  • Check the NetBackup operator logs for details using the following command:

    kubectl logs <netbackup-operator-pod-name> netbackup-operator -n <netbackup-operator-namespace>

  • Ensure that the primary server credentials that are in the secret are not expired.
