NetBackup™ Status Codes Reference Guide

NetBackup status code: 6173

Message: The ticket for your sign in request has expired.

Explanation: The NetBackup risk engine detects system anomalies and sends alerts, which lets you take action before a security threat occurs. If your NetBackup server is configured to detect unusual sign-ins and if unusual sign-ins are detected on your NetBackup server, a multiperson authorization ticket is created for the logon request. This message appears when the multiperson authorization ticket expires. Possible causes are that the sign in request wasn't approved in time by an administrator.

Recommended Action: Determine if the approver exists in the system. If they do, sign in again to generate a new multiperson authorization ticket. If the NetBackup administrator approves your request, you can log on successfully.
