NetBackup™ Status Codes Reference Guide

NetBackup status code: 8211

Message: SSL verification failed due to host name mismatch.

Explanation: The KMS server certificate SAN and CN fields don't have a host name that matches with the host name to which KMIP client is connected to. The peer host validation failed.

Recommended Action: Check that the connecting host name exists in the KMS server certificate SAN or CN field. If the host name does not exist, fix the server certificate or bypass the peer host validation by setting the EKMS_VERIFY_HOST=0 flag in the bp.conf file.
