NetBackup status code: 8308
Message: The data-in-transit encryption (DTE) mode of the backup image is set to On, therefore NetBackup tries to encrypt the data but the client version is older than 9.1.
Explanation: The backup image that is used for the NetBackup operation has the data-in-transit encryption (DTE) mode enabled. Therefore, NetBackup tries to encrypt the data. However, the client version is older than 9.1. and as a result restore fails.
Recommended Action: Perform one of the following as appropriate:
Upgrade the NetBackup client to a version that supports data-in-transit encryption.
Change the data-in-transit encryption (DTE) mode of the given backup image to Off using the following command:
bpimage -update -image_dtemode Off -id <backup_id>Set DTE_IGNORE_IMAGE_MODE = WHERE_UNSUPPORTED in the NetBackup configuration file of the primary server.
For option 2 and option 3, DTE is disabled while the job is performed.
