Converting a client backup to a VM
You can convert BMR-enabled client backups to a virtual machine using the wizard in the NetBackup web UI.
To convert a client backup to a virtual machine
- Navigate to Bare Metal Restore > Hosts, then click the VM conversion clients tab.
- Click the Actions menu for the intended client to open the operations menu.
Optionally, before conversion you can create a custom client configuration or a Point-In-Time (PIT) configuration. Select New client configuration from the Actions menu to copy an existing configuration or retrieve a PIT configuration.
- On the Actions menu, click Convert to virtual machine. The Virtual Machine Conversion wizard opens.
