Back up the ApplicationKey and central configuration
Before you upgrade, save the ApplicationKey and central configuration so you can recover or reconnect to existing databases if needed.
To back up the ApplicationKey and central configuration
- On the web server, open an elevated command prompt.
- Change to the
Install Filesfolder:cd "{ProgramFolder}\Install Files"
- Export the current configuration:
nsscmd.exe -getconfig
- Save the full command output in a secure location.
- Back up both Self Service databases.
- If you customized email templates in 11.1 or earlier, export or record those changes before you upgrade. In 11.2, re-create the templates in Settings > Email Templates, and then click Save. Version 11.2 stores email templates in the database.
