NetBackup™ for Cloud Object Store Administrator's Guide

Configuring object change tracking

Complete the configuration steps in the subsequent sections before using object change tracking for IBM Storage Ceph and Amazon S3.

Since NetBackup object change tracking uses the bucket logging feature in IBM Storage Ceph, you must enable and configure bucket logging in IBM Storage Ceph.

IBM Storage Ceph tracks change events on the source bucket and logs them in a log bucket. Log buckets function like any other bucket, but you must grant write access from different source buckets.
