NetBackup Web UI Vault Administrator's Guide

Removing a Vault license

The NetBackup Vault software is not uninstalled. Rather, you deactivate NetBackup Vault by removing the license from the list of current NetBackup licenses. Then Vault is no longer available for use. You can remove the license only if Vault was licensed with its own license, separate from the base NetBackup product license.

Before you remove the NetBackup Vault license, remove all Vault-specific configuration items. This action ensures that NetBackup does not include anything that was configured for Vault, such as volume pools.

To remove a Vault license

  1. Select Help > License management.
  2. Locate the Vault license from the list and select Actions > Remove.

If NetBackup Vault was included as part of the base product license, performing the following step removes your base license and you cannot use NetBackup. If you do not want to remove the NetBackup license, do not continue.
