Backup recovery using NetBackup Web UI

Recovery using NetBackup Web UI

  1. Log into NetBackup Web UI.
  2. On the left, click Recovery.
  3. In the Regular recovery pane, click Start recovery.
  4. Select MS-SharePoint from the Policy type drop down.

    Note:

    NetBackup currently supports only Normal backups as Restore types.

  5. Click Select client, the original machine where the data was backed up, as the Source client.
  6. Destination client is auto displayed.
  7. Click Next.
  8. In the Recovery details tab, NetBackup supports granular recovery where the users can restore individual items. These backup items are displayed in tree structure. You can filter the selection based on Date range, File or directory name, and most recent or all backups.

    Click Refresh if the backup items to recover are not displayed or contact Cohesity customer support.

    Select the appropriate recovery backup items and then click Next.

  9. In the Recovery options tab, select the required options from the following:

    • Restore options

    • Versioning enabled on the restore destination

    • Versioning is NOT enabled on the restore destination

    • Restore only the most recent version of the item

    • Include security information

    • SharePoint redirection

    • Job priority: By default, the preset priority for restore jobs is 90000, which is the highest preset job priority of any other NetBackup job. The available range is 0 to 99999. The higher the number, the greater the job priority.

  10. Click Next.
  11. Review the recovery specifications in the Review tab and then click Start recovery.
  12. A new job is initiated in the Activity monitor.
