NetBackup™ for Microsoft SQL Server Administrator's Guide

Discover databases on demand

You can manually start the NetBackup discovery process if you want to immediately discover instance databases or availability databases in your environment.

Note that after you recover a database that was deleted from the SQL Server environment NetBackup does not immediately reflect the updated database state. To refresh the database state you must run discovery manually or wait until the next autodiscovery.

To discover databases

  1. Select the Databases tab.
  2. Select Discover databases.
  3. Select the host and the instance that is associated with the databases.

Note that only registered instances are shown in this list.

  4. Select Discover.
