Perform a manual backup
After you configure the servers and assets in your environment, you can test the configuration settings with a manual backup. Perform a manual backup (or backups) from a policy with the automatic backup schedules that you created.
Or, you can use Backup now to perform a manual backup of an asset in the node.

To perform a manual backup from a policy
- On the left, select Protection > Policies.
- Select the policy you want to test.
- Select Manual backup.
- Select the schedule that you want to use for the manual backup.
- For SQL Server Intelligent Policies, select the databases or instances that you want to include for the manual backup. For batch file-based policies, select the clients that you want to include for the manual backup.
