Single-file restore (SFR) to a NetBackup client

You can perform single file restore to a NetBackup client.

Single-file restore to a NetBackup client

  1. On the left select Recovery. In the Regular recovery box, click Start recovery
  2. During the Basic properties step, select the policy type as KVM and the restore type as normal backups.
  3. During the Basic properties step, click Select client next to the Source client field to choose the source client.

    This is the VM that was backed up, which contains files and folders that you browse to recover.

  4. In the Select source client dialog box, choose a source client and click Apply.
  5. During the Basic properties step, select the client next to the Destination client field. This is a NetBackup primary, media, or client where the files or folders will be restored to.
  6. In the Select destination client screen, choose a destination client.
  7. Click Apply.
  8. During the Basic properties step, click Next.
  9. During the Recovery details step, click Edit to select the backup image and browse for files/folders.

    Alternatively, click Most recent or All backups to select the backup image to browse files/folders from.

    By default, files/folders from the most recent backup image will be displayed.

  10. On the Edit date range screen, select the Use date picker or Use backup history radio button to choose which backup image to browse files/folders from. Click Apply.
  11. During the Recovery details step, select files/folders to restore.

    Click Next.

  12. During the Recovery options step, select the Restore target and Recovery options and the media server.

    Click Next.

  13. During the Review step, review the information and click Start recovery.
