The NetBackup database and clustered environments

The NetBackup database is supported in a clustered environment. Failover is included with the NetBackup server failover solution. The software is installed on all computers in the cluster.

The databases and the configuration files are installed in the following shared locations.

Windows

NetBackup databases:

shared_drive\VERITAS\NetBackupDB\data

Configuration files:

shared_drive\VERITAS\NetBackupDB\data\instance

 

UNIX

NetBackup databases:

shared_drive/db/data

Configuration files:

/usr/openv/var/global

shared_drive/db/data/instance
