Ensure malware scanning is part of the restore process
It is just as important to scan data during the restore process as it is during the backup process. Configuring malware scans for restores prevents the reintroduction of malware into your production environment.
Enable pre-restore scanning: scan files before or as part of restore operations to ensure that no malware has been reintroduced into the environment.
Conduct regular restore tests: Regularly test restore operations with malware scanning enabled to validate that restore processes are safe and do not propagate threats.
