Preinstallation checklist for a NetBackup failover server installation on PCS on Linux

During installation, NetBackup Primary server requests following cluster-related information:

You also need to configure the service user and database user the same way on each cluster node:

  • For the service user, the username, group name, and UID must be the same on all the cluster nodes.

  • For the database user, the username, group name, and UID must be the same on all the cluster nodes.

The following information is required for all Red Hat Pacemaker cluster configurations:

  • Virtual IP Resource:

    • Virtual IP Resource Name

    • Virtual name for NetBackup

    • Subnet mask or Prefix length

    • Network device name (NIC)

  • Mount Resource:

    • Mount Resource name

    • Mount Point

    • Block Device

    • FS Type
