NetBackup™ Administrator's Guide, Volume II

Requirements before gathering data for multiple primary servers in capacity licensing

Before you run nbdeployutil in an environment that has multiple primary servers, additional configuration is required. See the NetBackup Web UI Administrator's Guide for details on adding trusted servers and editing host properties.

Complete the following steps. These steps only need to be completed one time.

  • Create a trust relationship between the primary servers.

  • For each remote primary server in the environment, add the primary server where you plan to run nbdeployutil to the Additional servers list (in Host properties).

    • Open the NetBackup web UI.

    • On the left, click Hosts > Host properties.

    • Select the remote primary server. If necessary, click Connect, then click Edit primary server.

    • Click Servers.

    • On the Additional servers tab, add the primary server.
