NetBackup™ Administrator's Guide, Volume II

Update the Itemization tab

The report's Itemization tab shows the calculated capacity for each client or policy combination. The report flags any conditions that have the potential to over count or to under count capacity. These conditions are identified in the Accuracy and Accuracy Comment columns.

  • Machine Type column:

Indicates whether the client is a physical or virtual machine.

If the virtual machine is hosted on Azure, Amazon, or GCP cloud providers, Cloud: <provider name> is displayed. For example, Cloud:GCP.

It may contain "Unknown", if nbdeployutil cannot find the machine type. For example, agentless environment or client versions earlier than NetBackup 8.3.

  • VM Host column:

Displays the host name of the client. It may contain "UNKNOWN", if nbdeployutil cannot find the corresponding host name for that client. This occurs:

    • If the VMware tools are not installed on the client.

    • If the client name does not match with any of the Display Name, INSTANCE_UUID, HOST_NAME, BIOS_UUID in case of VMware policy type.
