MSDP events in NetBackup web UI

The NetBackup web UI displays some events that are associated with the MSDP. These events are categorized based on different system components and issues, helping administrators efficiently monitor and troubleshoot.

The following table lists the MSDP events and their categories in the NetBackup web UI.

MSDP volume group (MVG)

MSDP

Events are triggered by configuration changes, load balancing activities such as workload assignments with physical volumes, and when physical volumes go offline or are marked as full.

CRC check

Spoold cyclic redundancy check

Events are generated for data corruption issues, CRC check progress, or if CRC checks have not been run for a long period.

Universal share health

MSDP

Universal share health status is monitored for conditions such as a healthy state, mount point hangs, or insufficient disk space.

Universal share (VPFS) alerts

VPFS

Specific alerts are raised when universal share has not had a backup or checkpoint for an extended period, or when corruption is detected in files or data within a group.
