NetBackup™ Deduplication Guide

Initializing MSDP for catalog recovery

As part of the manual MSDP catalog recovery process, you must initialize MSDP for recovery. This step stops the necessary services and moves the existing catalog files to prepare for restoration.

To initialize MSDP for catalog recovery

  • Run the following command on the MSDP storage server:
    • UNIX: /usr/openv/pdde/pdcr/bin/drcontrol --initialize_DR --policy policy_name

    • Windows: install_path\Veritas\pdde\drcontrol --initialize_DR --policy policy_name
