NetBackup status code: 7235
Explanation: Review the following reasons:
In case of precheck, stage, or install operation:
The NetBackup package being installed or executed, or a supporting file that is contained within cannot be opened or extracted.
In case of uninstall operation of an EEB:
The install agent, nbinstallagent could not resolve the on-host EEB uninstall directory from patch inventory (pack.summary /
History.log) and the EEB layout under the NetBackup pack directory. This can occur because of the following reasons:
The EEB versions in the package name are invalid.
The patch folder, the
pack.summaryfile (on UNIX), or theHistory.logfile (on Windows) does not exit. The resolved EEB path does not exist.
Recommended Action: Do the following:
In case of precheck, stage, or install operation:
The specific file that cannot be operated on is reported in the nbinstallagent or nbrepo log file. Confirm that the package exists in the required location. Confirm that the package that is being installed is not modified from its original form. Verify that the user executing the nbinstallagent binary has read and write permissions for the NetBackup application folders. Verify that there is sufficient disk space on the system.
In case of uninstall operation of an EEB:
This is caused by status code 7312. Check the nbinstallagent logs for the following line:
"Error returned from resolve_eeb_uninstall_path_from_pack_summary: error code [N]" before the line "Error returned from get_package_and_resolve_properties(). Status code[7312]."
Where N is the actual failure before it was mapped to status code 7312 and 7235.
