NetBackup status code: 4105
Explanation: NetBackup could not create a file hash search on the configured file hash server. This status code is returned when the primary server fails to submit the file hash search request to the file hash server, or when the file hash server returns an unexpected error while creating the search. This can occur if the file hash server is unavailable, mis-configured, or unable to process the search request.
Recommended Action: Do the following:
- On the primary server, run the following command to configure or reconfigure the file hash server:
nbfhsmgr -config file_hash_server_hostname
- Ensure that the configured file hash server is online and reachable from the primary server.
- Restart the file hash services on the file hash server, then retry the operation.
- In the Activity monitor web UI, open the failed File Hash Search job and review the job details and progress log for the underlying error message.
- Check the NetBackup Web Management Console (nbwmc) and nbwebservice logs on the primary server, and the relevant logs on the file hash server, for errors related to the file hash search request.
- After resolving the configuration or connectivity issue, retry the file hash search operation.
