Job Error Code

Explore your data center using customizable report templates or by using parts of your IT infrastructure as entry points. Use Search to find reports, templates and dashboards across the portal.

Use the Reports tab to examine the catalog of templates, dashboards and reports - organized by products along with user-created, and system folders. This report is located here:

Backup Manager > Management Reports > Job Error Code

The Job Error Code report displays a donut chart that aggregates job error codes. Use this chart for a high-level view of backup and/or restore errors, with access to the relevant details. This high-level summary provides drill down access to the Job Summary report, where you'll find specific status messages and scheduling information.

  • Each donut sector represents an error code with the number of error occurrences shown in a tooltip in the following format: <code>:<count>. The total count of all errors is displayed in the center of the donut.

  • The Legend for the donut chart has the following format: Color Backup Product: Error Code

  • Click a legend item to remove that sector from the rendered chart. The legend items can be toggled to display/remove a sector.

  • When you click the donut sector, additional details display the error code and the number of occurrences of that error. The drill down from the sector displays the Job Summary report where you can hover your mouse over the Exit Code to view the reason associated with the code.
