Alert Detail

The Alert Detail allows you to view objects with alerts triggered by thresholds set in your Alert Policies. You can also use the report to suppress/unsuppress individual alerts. When running the report, you have the option to see all alerts or to filter them based on if they are suppressed or not.

To suppress or unsuppress an alert, click the Row Selection check box and click the relevant action button. When you suppress an alert, you select the duration for the suppression.

Column name

Description

Row Selection

Click the check box to select the alert. Use the Suppress and Unsuppress buttons to complete the action once the alert is selected.

Policy Name

User defined Alert Policy name. Use the link to access the policy directly

Alert Object Type

Defines the object type for which the alert was set. Object type dictates which drill down report is displayed.

Alert Object

Displays the object on which the alert was issued. Click the object to display the relevant report and the details for the object.

Parent Object Type

If a hierarchy structure exists, displays the object type of the parent for the alert object.

Parent Object

If a hierarchy structure exists, displays the name of parent of the alert object.

Last Alert Message

Displays a brief description of the alert condition.

Status

Indicates the severity of the alert. Click the link to drilldown to view additional information about the root cause of the alert.

Alert Date

Displays the date the alert condition occurred.

Latest Alert Date

Displays the date of the latest alert that occurred for the alert policy and alert object combination. When this column has a value, the Alert Date column indicates the date when this alert occurred for the first time.

Occurrences

Displays the number of times the alert was processed on the same alert object in the defined number of Look Back hours.

Suppressed Until Date

Displays the date/time the alert is suppressed until. When you suppress an alert, you select a duration. This field displays that value.

Suppressed By

Displays the LDAP ID of the user responsible for the Alert suppression.

ServiceNow Ticket Number

Displays the value of ServiceNow: Job Finalized alert when ServiceNow integration is fully enabled.
