Port Details

Detail reports are related to a specific enterprise object, such as a backup job. You can only access detail reports through a link presented in the context of a main report, providing additional information that augments the main report. Detail reports cannot be generated, customized, or saved, as they are specific to the report from which they were derived. They are not available in search results.

Explore your data center using IT Analytics customizable report templates or by using parts of your IT infrastructure as entry points. Use Search to find reports, templates and dashboards across the portal.

Use the Reports tab to examine the IT Analytics catalog of templates, dashboards and reports - organized by products along with user-created, and system folders. The main report is located here:

Fabric Manager > Administration Reports > Port Summary

Column name

Description

Port #

The number of the port in the SAN Fabric. This is a string, not a numeric field.

Element Name

The name of the port

Status

The status of the port

Type

The type of port

WWN

The Worldwide name of the port

Switch Name

The switch associated with the port. Click the link for details.

SAN Fabric

The name of the SAN Fabric. Clink the link for details.

Connected Device

The device to which the port is connected

Connected Port WWN

The WWN of the connected port

Caption

The short description of the device

Device Identifier

Unique identifier for the connected device

Alias

Corresponds to the WWN of the port.

Gb/Sec

The speed of the port

Auto Sense

Indicates if the port can automatically determine the speed of attached devices

Licensed

Indicates if there is a license for this port

ISL Mode Enabled

Denotes inter-switch link capabilities

Trunked

The capability for multiple connections defined as a single link, on inter-switch links

Virtual

Indicates if it is a virtual switch (Cisco)

NPIV Enabled

Indicates if a single Fibre Channel port is enabled to appear as multiple, unique ports.

Domain Port #

This port's number within the switch's domain

State

Enabled or Disabled. If the port is not connected, the state is not applicable.

Max Gb/Sec

The maximum speed of the port.

Port Index

The port's position in the slot or switch
