EMC VNX (CLARiiON) Thin Pool Details

Detail reports are related to a specific enterprise object, such as a backup job. You can only access detail reports through a link presented in the context of a main report, providing additional information that augments the main report. Detail reports cannot be generated, customized, or saved, as they are specific to the report from which they were derived. They are not available in search results.

Explore your data center using IT Analytics customizable report templates or by using parts of your IT infrastructure as entry points. Use Search to find reports, templates and dashboards across the portal.

Use the Reports tab to examine the IT Analytics catalog of templates, dashboards and reports - organized by products along with user-created, and system folders. The main report is located here:

The unique pool ID

RAID Type

RAID type

Disk Type

Type of disk, such as Fibre Channel

State

State of the pool

Status

Pool status

# Hosts

The number of hosts that have been allocated storage from this pool

Storage Array

The array associated with the storage pool

Raw Capacity

The raw capacity of the pool

User Capacity

The physical capacity that's available to all LUNs in the storage pool; also known as usable capacity or host-visible capacity.

Consumed Capacity

The physical capacity that is assigned to all LUNs in the storage pool. From the array's perspective, consumed capacity is the same as allocated capacity.

Available Capacity

The physical pool storage that is not allocated to pool LUNs

Subscribed Capacity

The physical capacity that has been given to hosts/applications; this is from the host's perspective

% Subscribed

The percentage of the raw capacity that has been given to hosts

% Oversubscribed

Oversubscribed capacity refers to User Capacity that exceeds the pool's physical capacity.

Name of the LUN associated with this Thin Pool

User Capacity

Amount of capacity presented to the host for use

Consumed Capacity

Amount of capacity actually in use by the host(s)

Host

Links to the Host Utilization Details.

Name

Name of the physical disk that contains the storage for this LUN

Capacity

Capacity of the disk

Vendor

Manufacturer of the disk
