Inactive LUNS

Explore your data center using customizable report templates or by using parts of your IT infrastructure as entry points. Use Search to find reports, templates and dashboards across the portal.

Use the Reports tab to examine the catalog of templates, dashboards and reports - organized by products along with user-created, and system folders. This report is located here:

Solutions > Storage Optimization > Storage Optimization Analysis

Click the Inactive LUNs sector.

Then, either click the Inactive Capacity link or select checkboxes and click Show Selected.

Column name

Description

Storage Array

Storage array name.

LUN Name

Logical unit name.

Capacity

Size of the LUN.

RAID Type

RAID type, such as RAID-10, RAID-6, or 2-Way Mirror.

Cost per GiB

Cost per GiB for storage associated with this storage optimization rule.

Tier

Name of the chargeback policy (Tier).

Total Cost

Total cost of the inactive LUN.

Array Group

Array group name.

Product

The storage product name, such as Dell Compellent or EMC Symmetrix.

Status

Status of collection.

Array Family

Storage array family, such as Symmetrix VMAX.

Is Thin Provisioned

Indicates if thin provisioning is enabled: Y or N.

Host List

List of host IDs and names associated with the LUN.

Last I/O Date

Date and time the LUN had I/O operations.
