Inactive Large Files

Explore your data center using customizable report templates or by using parts of your IT infrastructure as entry points. Use Search to find reports, templates and dashboards across the portal.

Use the Reports tab to examine the catalog of templates, dashboards and reports - organized by products along with user-created, and system folders. This report is located here:

Solutions > Storage Optimization > Storage Optimization Analysis

Click the Inactive Large Files sector.

Then, click a File Size link or check several boxes and Show Selected.

Column name

Description

Host Name

Name of the host.

Last Accessed

File last accessed.

Host Type

Host type, such as CIFS.

File Name

Name of the inactive large file.

File Type

File type, derived from the filename extension.

Owner

Owner of the file.

Is Active

Is the context active? Y or N.

File Size

File size.

Cost per GiB

Cost per GiB for storage associated with this storage optimization rule.

Total Cost

Total cost of inactive large files.
