File List Preview
The File List Preview report retrieves data by performing search on the metadata information collected from the following File Analytics policies.

The report displays files data by executing background search.
The user can configure various filter parameters based on which the data is displayed. This report is located here:
Reports > File Analytics > Storage Efficiencies > File List Preview.
Note:
This report is also available in Inventory. Navigate to Inventory, click File Shares & Volumes. Click "+" icon to view the report. The report is available under Management section.
Click File List Preview to specify the report scope.
Specify the filtering criteria for the files to be investigated.

Column name | Description |

Name | User-defined name for the export file |
Owners | Search only for files only for certain owners |
Create date between | Select only files within the creation date range |
Modified date between | Select only files within the modified date range |
Accessed date between | Select only files within the accessed date range |
Scope | Select specific host groups, servers, or Devices (hosts, shares, and volumes). When you click , a Device search window facilitates device identification and selection. Note: The Modify button is disabled when you view the report in Inventory. |
File Categories | Select the File Categories to be exported. Use Shift-click and Ctrl-click to select multiple categories. To add or modify the default list of file categories, go to Admin > Report > File Categories. |
Directory Paths | Enter a comma-separated list of Directory Paths, where the files are located |
File Extensions | In addition to the file extensions represented by the File Categories, you can augment this selection with additional file extensions (rather than creating another file category) |
No. of Rows | Using this option, you can specify the number of rows displayed in the report. The available options are:
Note: Using the Custom option, you can specify the number of rows to be displayed on the report. The allowed range is 1 to 5000. |
File size between | Specify the file sizes of interest to you. Select a unit of measure: KB, MB, GB or TB |
File Name | Specify the name of the file to export. |
The following columns are displayed in the report.

Column name | Description |

Domain ID | The domain in which the host is located. |
Host Name | IP address or host name on which the file is located. |
File | Name of the file |
File Size | The size of the file as specified in the filter. |
File Owner | Owner of the file. |
Created Time | File creation date and time |
Modified Time | File modified date and time. |
Access Time | The last accessed date and time of the file. |
Backup Policies | The Backup Policy applied during extraction of the data. Note: The data in Backup Policy column will be displayed only if data collection is done from NetBackup File Analytics feature. |
Backup Time | The date and time of the back of the file conducted. Note: The data in Backup Time column will be displayed only if data collection is done from NetBackup File Analytics feature. |
The following is the example of the report.
Once the report is generated and displayed, various actions can be performed on the displayed report. Click Actions on the right upper corner of the report.

Column name | Description |

Refresh | Click Refresh to re-generate the report based on the filter criteria specified. |
Edit Scope | Click Edit Scope to re-enter the new scope for the report. The File List Preview Scope Selector dialog box is displayed. |
Save As | Click Save As to save the report as Template for future user. The Save Template as Report dialog box is displayed. |
If you want to send the report as an attachment using email, click Email. The Email Report dialog box is displayed. | |
Export | Click Export if you want to export the report in CSV file format. |
Export All | If the row count exceeds 5000, click Export All option. |
Filter | Click Filter if you want to filter the report data. The Report Filtering dialog box is displayed. |
