Viewing and installing licenses
You can install and view the licenses using the Veritas Resiliency Platform console. The extension of a license file is .slf.
You can view the following information about the installed licenses in a table:
Entitlement Id: Unique id of the license.
Name: Name of the license.
Meter Type: Licenses for applications on physical hosts are categorized under Per Core meter type whereas licenses for virtual machines and applications on virtual machines are categorized under Per Virtual Machine meter type.
Type: Type of the license, Demo or Subscription.
Purchased Quantity: Number of meters purchased.
Total Consumed Quantity: Number of meters used by the resiliency group.
Start Date: The date on which the license is installed.
Expiry Date: Expiry date of the license.
If Resiliency Managers are configured on different time zones, then the license on one Resiliency Manager may expire before the license on the other Resiliency Manager. This behavior is seen on the second Resiliency Manager for almost 12 Hours.
Valid For (Days): Indicates the number of days the license is valid for.
Status: Status of the license such as Valid , Invalid, and In Grace period.
Note:
You can use the Show all licenses check box to view all the previous licenses including the Per-GB licenses.
To install a license
- Navigate
Settings (menu bar) > Product Settings > Licenses
- Click Browse to select the .slf file and click Install License.
Note:
License which is in-use cannot be removed.
