Performing rehearsal on a virtual business service
Use the Rehearsal option on the Resiliency Platform console to perform the disaster recovery rehearsal, which verifies the ability of your configured virtual business service (VBS) to fail over to the recovery data center during disaster. A rehearsal is a zero-downtime test that mimics the configuration, application data, storage, replication, and the fail over behavior of your virtual business service. If the rehearsal operation is performed on the VBS, the operation will happen on the latest recovery point. You cannot choose the recovery point to perform the rehearsal operation.
When the VBS contains resiliency groups that are configured for protection using a service objective where the data availability mode is Copy, the most recent backup image is used for rehearsal of the virtual machines within the virtual business service (VBS).
