Adding a Data Gateway
If you choose to use the Object Storage mode replication for recovery of your data center assets to AWS data center, you need to deploy a Data Gateway in AWS and then add this Data Gateway to the cloud data center using Resiliency Manager console. The Data Gateway and the AWS cloud data center should be in the same region.
To add a Data Gateway
- Prerequisites
Ensure to add IMS and cloud configuration to Resiliency Manager.
- Navigate
Settings (menu bar)
Under Infrastructure Settings, click Infrastructure
- Click the vertical ellipses next to the cloud data center, and select Add Data Gateway.
- In the Add Data Gateway wizard panel, enter the following details:

Data Gateway Configuration Name
Specify a name for the Configuration
Data Gateway endpoint URL
Enter the endpoint URL of the Data Gateway
Example: https://REST_api_resource_ID.execute-api.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/VDGW
AWS Access Key
Enter the AWS access key. This is required for the on-premises Replication Gateway to communicate with the Data Gateway.
AWS Secret Key
Enter the AWS secret key. This is required for the on-premises Replication Gateway to communicate with the Data Gateway.
Click Next and enter the S3 bucket details such as bucket credentials. If you have selected the option to use an existing set of credentials, then same credentials are automatically populated that you entered for the Data Gateway.
- Verify that the Data Gateway is added to the data center and is listed under the data center.
