Configuring InfoScale clusters in Resiliency Platform
InfoScale clusters in the Resiliency Platform can be configured in one of the following ways:
Configure a single InfoScale cluster by providing details of cluster nodes in Resiliency Platform
Configure multiple InfoScale clusters together by uploading a csv file containing details of cluster nodes
Ensure that the Veritas InfoScale Operations Manager Managed Host (MH) version should be 7.2 onwards in the cluster hosts.
To configure (add) a single InfoScale cluster in Resiliency Platform
- Prerequisites
See Prerequisites for supporting InfoScale cluster node in Veritas Resiliency Platform.
- Navigate
Settings (menu bar)
Under Infrastructure Settings, click Infrastructure
You can also access this page from the Quick Actions menu > Manage Asset Infrastructure.
Click Application Cluster.
Under InfoScale, click + Clusters.
- In Add clusters panel, after choosing the Infrastructure Management Server from the dropdown, select any one option to configure the cluster:
If you select Add Single cluster option, provide the information for one of the cluster nodes:
Enter a host name or IP address.
Enter the username.
Enter the password and click Next.
Note:
Once you have provided the details of the first cluster node, this action will gather information about the cluster and get list of all the nodes in the cluster.
Provide the details hostname, username, and password for the remaining nodes in the cluster.
Click Submit. Click on the link to view the progress. Verify that the cluster nodes are successfully added. Once the server is successfully added, the applications that are already added in the Veritas InfoScale Operations Manager are shown in the Unmanaged tab under Assets
If you select Add Multiple Clusters you need to select the .csv file and upload it.
Before uploading the csv, read through topics See Structure of the csv file . and See Rules to configure each cluster in the csv file.
Click Next. On clicking Next, Resiliency Platform performs Probe on different clusters specified in csv file. Any errors where Probe fails for some clusters are displayed. If probe fails for some clusters and succeeds for others, then you can click Continue with those for which Probe succeeded or Cancel the operation. If Probe fails for all then you need to click Cancel.
On next screen, you can see details of cluster nodes. Here, host names are auto-computed by using same domain name as that provided for node in same cluster during Probe as specified in csv file. Username and password are copied from node in the cluster used for Probe as specified in csv file.
Click Submit to launch the Add Cluster workflow for each cluster. The last page of wizard will take you to current Activities view where you can track these workflow activities.
Note:
You need to follow similar steps to configure the cluster on the target data center.
