About Elastic Networking Adapter (ENA) support in Resiliency Platform
Elastic Networking Adapter (ENA) is a network interface which provides enhanced networking to the instances in AWS environment. Resiliency Platform now supports instance types which supports ENA.
Drivers required for recovery to instance types which supports ENA
For workloads to work on instance types which supports ENA, the following drivers are automatically installed on the workloads based on their operating systems:
Drivers for Microsoft Windows:
AWSENA
AWSNVMe
Instance types which are AMD based are not supported for Linux workloads. These are instance types which have 'a' in it. Such instance types are filtered out in the UI based on the operating system of the workloads.
For example : m5a.large.
Note:
In Microsoft Windows 2012, the command start rundll32.exe sppnp.dll,Sysprep_Generalize_Pnp -wait is required to be executed manually for DR operations. Refer to the manual installation of ENA drivers topic for more details.See Manually installing the ENA drivers.
Drivers for Linux operating system (RHEL / CentOS 7.x):
ENA
For Linux, instance types backed by NVMe Instance store volumes are not supported. These are instance types with 'd' in it. eg. m5d.large

RHEL 6.5
CentOS 6.5
When you have configured the virtual machines for recovery to AWS environment for disaster recovery of Linux workloads using NetBackup Automated disaster recovery and , if you have selected instance type which supports ENA as customization target, you need to install the ENA drivers manually.
