Edit Intent for resiliency group when source and target data centers are cloud or private cloud
Using the Resiliency Platform console, you can edit a resiliency group. Depending on whether the resiliency group is configured for basic monitoring or for disaster recovery (DR), the editable panels change. If the resiliency group is configured for basic monitoring, then you can add or remove the assets and edit the group name.
This topic is applicable while recovering virtual machines from Azure to Azure environments and also for Azure Stack to Azure Stack.
If the resiliency group is configured for disaster recovery, you see different options for edits such as, customize the networks or edit the entire configuration. When you edit the entire configuration, the panels displayed are based on the recovery data center.
When the source and target data center are based in cloud you can edit the configuration at target data center.
Note:
If the instances are created from BYOS image or there is licensing issues with instances, then Resiliency Platform operations may fail.
To edit the resiliency group information for customizing the network intent
- Navigate
Assets (navigation pane) > Resiliency Group(s) tab
- Locate the resiliency group. Use filters or Search as needed.
On
On the row for resiliency group, select the vertical ellipses > and clickEdit.
You can also edit the resiliency group from its Details page.
- Click on the Customize Network option on Manage Assets panel.
On the Customize panel, the following table summarizes the information that you must supply or verify in the wizard to complete the customization and click Next.

Select Resource group & Account Type
Displays the Resource Group, the Availability set and Virtual machine size details.
Select VM Attributes
Select the size of the virtual machines on the target (recovery) data center. You can choose virtual machine sizes which are Standard and Premium supported storage type.
You can apply the selection either to all the virtual machines or customize for each. When you select Premium storage type and apply the selection to all, if a virtual machine does not support the storage type, then a warning message is displayed for that virtual machine. You need to manually change the storage type to Standard for that machine. The availability sets that are associated with the previously selected resource group are displayed. Select an availability set from the list, this is optional.
Select Security Group
Select additional security group per network interface card (NIC). You can apply the selection either to all the NICs or customize for each. This is optional.
- On the Network Summary panel, verify the network mapping details for the resiliency group.
- Complete the network customization steps. See Network customization options.
- Verify the summarized information and verify the name for the resiliency group.
