Mapping network objects (Production and Rehearsal mapping)
While adding the network objects or editing the discovered network objects, you need to choose a purpose. The purpose in Resiliency Platform are Production or Rehearsal.
To perform recovery operations such as migrate, recover, or resync, you need to pair the network objects with a purpose as Production from source data center with network objects with a purpose as Production in the target data center. Below table describe the network mapping for respective environments:
Table: Production to Production network mapping
Environment | Links |
|---|---|
Network pairs for recovering virtual machines to AWS | |
Network pairs for recovering virtual machines to AWS region to AWS region | See Network pairs for recovering virtual machines from AWS region to AWS region. |
Network pairs for recovering virtual machines to Azure | |
Network pairs for recovering virtual machines from Azure to Azure | See Network pairs for recovering virtual machines from Azure to Azure. |
Network pairs for recovering machines to on-premises data center | |
Network pairs for recovering physical machines to VMware | See Network pairs for recovering physical machines to VMware. |

When you want to perform the rehearsal operations, you can map the network objects with purpose as Production with network objects (corresponding to rehearsal networks) with purpose as Rehearsal in the target data center. You need to right click on Production network object and select Edit. Select appropriate Rehearsal network from drop down and click Next to save the changes.
