About root CA certificates of vCloud Director
To interact with the external entities and to establish secure communication, you need to download the vCloud Director root CA certificates. Follow the steps mentioned below:
Pre-requisites:
If you are using the self-signed certificate for vCloud Director, then in vCloud Director UI, you may have to set public addresses (Public Endpoints) with proper hostname, instead IP address (if customized).
This setting needs to be done once before configuring vCloud Director in Resiliency Platform. This setting can be done only through cloud login.

To download the root CA certificates of vCloud Director
- From web browser, open the vCloud Director web UI:
< https://<vCloud_director_hostname>. Look at the certificates presented by the vCloud Director.
Refer to the web browser specific manual for steps to view the certificate for the host.
- Navigate to the Certificate > Details tab. Download the certificate of Issuer field.
After the certificate is downloaded successfully, navigate to Settings >> Product Settings >> Certificate Management to install the certificate for vCloud Director. Refer See Add root and intermediate CA certificate. topic.
