Configuring Hyper-V virtual machines for disaster recovery using Infinidat replication
This section lists the prerequisites to enable data replication using Infinidat replication.
Resiliency Platform supports all types of datasets i.e. Volumes and Consistency Groups.
Resiliency Platform supports SYNC and ASYNC modes of replication.
Resiliency Platform communicates with InfiniBox array by issuing InfiniBox REST APIs from the IMS. Ensure that the IMS in each site is able to communicate with the InfiniBox array in that site.
Ensure that InfiniBox array user that is to be used for configuration in Resiliency Platform has admin or pool_admin role. The privileges of the user should not be changed once the array is configured in Resiliency Platform. Neither should the array be re-added with different user having different set of privileges if resiliency groups are created that consume storage from the array. If the privileges of the user are changed later, then you may not be able to operate on the resiliency groups that depend on that privilege.
Ensure that replicas are created to replicate the datasets from source array to remote array.
Ensure that the replicated source and target volumes are mapped to the respective Hyper-V servers in both data centers.
