Message: The NetBackup configuration on the host is invalid or corrupt.
Explanation: The nbinstallagent cannot determine the computer role of the target system: master, media, or client.
Recommended Action: If the target host is windows inspect the SOFTWARE\Veritas\NetBackup\CurrentVersion\Install Type key.
If the target host is UNIX, run bpclntcmd -is_server <target host> to determine if it is a client or a server. If it is a server, run bpclntcmd -is_master_server <target host> to determine if the target host is a master or a media server.
