The command does not validate the policy name. It does not verify that the policy exists or that it is an MSDP-Object-Store policy. A marker can be set against any policy name.

An import event is generated only for MSDP-Object-Store policies at replication time. If a marker is set on a non-MSDP-S3 policy, no import event is created.

Only IMPORT_V1 is currently supported as the marker value.

Do not edit marker.cfg manually. Always use cacontrol --s3import command.
