NetBackup™ for MySQL Administrator's Guide

Overview of NetBackup for MySQL

NetBackup uses role-based access control to grant access to the web UI. Access control is accomplished through roles.

Note:

Ensure that all NetBackup hosts are of the same NetBackup versions for successful backup and restore operations.

  • Open a web browser and go to the URL

  • Enter your credentials and click Sign in.

  • On the left, click Security > RBAC. Click Add.

  • Select Default MySQL Administrator and provide a Role name, Role description, and the required permissions. Then assign a user to this role.

Note:

To perform the MySQL administrator tasks, the Default MySQL Administrator role should have the minimum required RBAC permissions.
