Workflow to configure file hash calculation

The following table provides a workflow that describes the end‑to‑end operation for compressed file hash calculation.

Step 1

Configure the file hash server:

For more information on configuring the file hash server, see 'Configuring the file hash server' section in the NetBackup™ Web UI Administrator's Guide.

Step 2

Configure the compute host:

Add a compute host that has the hash calculator configured.

By default, all NetBackup Linux Red Hat and SUSE 11.2 clients include the hash calculator. When adding the compute host, specify the operation and select Hash calculator as the scanner type.
