NetBackup™ Deduplication Guide

Universal Share WORM capability

The data in the universal share is not WORM capable if you access it from NFS or SMB. You can change or modify the data from NFS or SMB.

On a WORM storage server, use the Universal-Share policy to ingest the universal share into the NetBackup catalog, and make the catalog or the backup image WORM capable.

You can duplicate the image to another media server or replicate it to another NetBackup domain. You can also use the images to create an instant access universal share or restore data to the original universal share.
