Monitoring the MSDP server evaluation status

The Evaluation details page of the disk volume contains the following information:

To view the Evacuation details page

  1. In the left navigation pane, go to Storage > Disk storage.
  2. Click the Disk pools tab.
  3. Locate the MVG disk pool that contains the MVG disk volume with the MSDP server and disk volume to be evacuated.
  4. Click the MVG disk pool to open the MVG disk pool details.
  5. In the Disk volumes table, find the disk volume, and click Evacuation details from the Actions menu on the right.

Item

Description

Total image count / Total image size

The total number and size of the backup images that are collected from the disk volume of the MSDP server at the beginning of the evacuation process.

Migrated image count / Migrated image size

The total number and size of the backup images that are migrated, including the images, which have and have not been cleaned up from the disk volume of the MSDP server.

Migrated uncleaned image count / Migrated uncleaned image size

The total number and size of the backup images that are migrated but have not been cleaned up from the disk volume of the MSDP server.

In-progress image count / In-progress image size

The total number and size of the backup images that are in the migration process.

Skipped image count / Skipped image size

The total number and size of the backup images that are skipped for evacuation. The orphan images and the failed images whose evacuation is canceled afterwards are counted as skipped images.

Failed image count / Failed image size

The total number and size of the backup images that failed to migrate.

Clean up migrated images

Initiates cleanup of successfully migrated images from the disk volume.

If multiperson authorization is enabled, a ticket is generated and must be approved by an authorized administrator.

The option Not delete is added in the web UI for the WORM-locked images. If the migrated images are WORM-locked, select the option to initiate the cleanup.

Retry evacuation for all failed images

Adds all images that failed to migrate back to the evacuation backlog to retry migration later.

Cancel evacuation for all failed images

All the images that failed to migrate are skipped from the evacuation.

Images not migrated

Displays a detailed list of backup images that failed to migrate. You can select images from the list to retry the migration or cancel it.
